What are you pursuing? Notice I did not ask you what you were doing. Certainly that question would bring a list of various things you are endeavoring to do. But the reality is we can really only pursue one thing. For only one thing can be the main thing we are focused on attaining.
In Matthew 6:33 the Lord makes it clear that seeking His Kingdom should not be a priority of our life…. it should be the priority of our life. For only when we, and our lives, are properly aligned with God can everything else fall into place and position.
Can you imagine hiring a builder who made your roof first and then placed the roof right where the foundation for the house was supposed to be. Certainly a roof is something you want on a house. But regardless of how exquisite that roofs looks, no matter now well it was built…. it is useless without a proper foundation and walls. So it is with our lives. There is nothing wrong with “things”. In fact some “things” are necessary and even good. But if they are the pursuit of our life instead of a byproduct of our pursuing God…. they are simply not worth it.
Are you truly seeking God’s kingdom first, not only in word but in deed and action?

Ugh, I liked! So clear and positively.
